Tämän näyttelyn idea tulee filosofi-runoilija Jan Zwickyn runokokoelmasta ”Songs for Relinquishing the Earth”.
Hänen viimeisimmässä filosofiaa käsittelevästä kirjassaan ”Learning to Die, Wisdom in the Age of Climate Crisis”, Zwicky vaatii että meistä täytyy löytyä sokraattista nöyryyttä ja itsehillintää nähdä todellisuus sellaisena kuin se on. Meidän täytyy löytää tasapaino itsessämme, jotta voimme suhtautua myötätuntoisesti ja arvostaen tulevaisuuteemme.
This exhibition is inspired by the work of poet-philosopher Jan Zwicky. In her recent book ”Learning to Die, Wisdom in the Age of Climate Crisis”, she asks us to find a Socratic humbleness and self-control so that we can see reality as it is. We must find a balance within ourselves in order to face our future with compassion and dignity.
